Norfolk Holiday
One of the most idyllic holidays that you can have is a holiday in Norfolk. There are many charming villages around and then there is the Broads that draws thousands of people each summer. Along with the major attractions, there are the entertainment venues, kid’s adventure centres and nature conservation centres.
Finding accommodation is also not a big problem. There are a great many self-catering cottages and homes in the villages around the Broads, as well as the villages more inland. Together with that there are holiday parks like Richardson’s holiday parks and hotels that offer top-class living facilities.
Many of the self-catering cottages come fully serviced, but there are still some that you have to clean yourself. Some of the more modern homes come with big flat screen and satellite TV, internet connectivity and other luxury facilities.
The same goes for the hotels. Depending on the star-rating that you choose, you may also be able to watch satellite TV on a flat screen. All hotel rooms are fully furnished and you can choose between half board (bed and breakfast) and full board (dinner, bed and breakfast) – depending on the price that you’re willing to pay.
Holiday parks also have buildings that they rent out to visitors. These are usually self-catering chalets that aren’t serviced. Furthermore they have excellent camping grounds for both caravans and tents. Some even have stands that have their own electricity and water supplies.
Once you chosen your accommodation, you need to decide what activities you want to participate in. Norfolk is known for catering for holidaymakers, so there shouldn’t be a problem in finding something that you would like to do. If you are near the Broads, there is fishing, swimming, sailing and surfing available to you. You can even hire a captain and a boat and have a peaceful cruise down one of the arms of the Broads.
If you’re more into inland types of activities, there are movie theatres, indoor activities and the children’s adventure centres that you can go to. The villages also have their own museums and attractions, not to talk about the character-filled pubs where you can have a lovely, local meal.
There are also many hiking opportunities as well as the possibility of exploring the surrounding area by bicycle. The fields are beautiful during the summer and the exercise will refresh and invigorate you before you head for home and a home-cooked meal.
No matter where in Norfolk you go, you will find something that catches your fancy and helps you to have a wonderful, relaxing holiday. All it needs is a little planning, some imagination and the willingness to have a great adventure.
